For many patients, returning home after a stroke, major surgery or other condition requires just a little more time and care.

Let the Rehabilitation staff at Goodland Regional Medical Center help you get your strength back so you can return home feeling comfortable and safe.

The Swing Bed unit at GRMC is available for patients who qualify and require rehabilitation therapies before returning home.

Rehabilitation Services
On-site staff professionals are availble in a variety of rehabilitation therapies:

Physical Therapy

Occupational Therapy

Speech Therapy

Respiratory Therapy

Nutritional Therapy

Counseling Services (weekly)

Trained staff is available to help patients and family assess when it is appropriate to return home or if another level of care is necessary. The GRMC Social Worker can assist patients and family in evaluating a variety of options if returning home is not possible; help explain insurance coverage; and navigate individuals through their health care experience.

GRMC offers skilled care according to Medicare guidelines and transfers from other facilities can be arranged by contacting the Utilization Review office at GRMC: (785) 890-3625, ext. 6273.
