Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg: PRN
The Staff Registered Nurse manages patient care and subsequent recovery. The RN works on helping individuals who have undergone injuries, from illnesses to accidents, monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Promotes and restores patient's health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. He/She is responsible for the care of a specific group of patients during a twelve hour shift, and may supervise LPNs or Nurse Aides who are assigned to the same patients. Must be willing to serve on call shifts and provide additional assistance in the Emergency and Obstetric departments.

Minimum Education: Associate or Bachelor Degree prepared nurse from accredited nursing school. Will train newly graduated Registered Nurse. Must be able to work as a team.
Minimum Experience: Preferably has been a practicing Med Surg nurse for 2-5 years.
Certification or Registration if required: Current Kansas Registered Nursing license. BLS certification is required. Preference for ACLS, NRP, TNCC, and PALS certifications or current within two years of hire date.
